After concerted efforts since 2011, an Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) was signed in April 2022 between India and Australia, thus paving the way for exponential growth and diversification in the bilateral trade relations between the two nations. This is the second trade agreement India has signed this year, after inking a similar deal with the United Arab Emirates in February 2022.
